“Danshig Naadam - Khuree Tsam 2024” Commences

Ulaanbaatar, August 3, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The "Danshig Naadam - Khuree Tsam 2024," the unique cultural and religious festival of Mongolia, commenced today on August 3, 2024, at the Khui Doloon Khudag, the outskirts of Ulaanbaatar City.


At the Danshig Naadam, bukhs (wrestlers) from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Buryatia of the Russian Federation will participate. In the traditional Mongolian wrestling, 256 bukhs will compete, while 64 wrestlers will compete in the Buryat and Inner Mongolian wrestling. 


There will be the “Ulaanbaatar 385” historical photograph exhibition, fairs and venues selling the “Five Exquisite Morsels” of the Mongols, and horse races including joroo (abmler) and shudlen (2-year old horses) at the Danshig Naadam. Additionally, horse archery, knuckle-bone shooting, traditional archery, and bone breaking competitions will be held.
