Ulaanbaatar, August 5, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The “Young Mongolists’ Summer School - 2024” International Program commenced on August 5, 2024, with an Opening Ceremony at the Graduate University of Mongolia.

Co-hosted annually by the Ministry of Education of Mongolia, the Ministry of Economy and Development of Mongolia, and the National Council for Mongol Studies, this International Program aims at introducing young Mongolists to the Mongolian lifestyle and customs and strengthening the continuity of Mongol studies.

This year, over 40 young Mongolists from seven countries applied to participate in the two-week “Young Mongolists' Summer School – 2024” and out of them 25 researchers from 13 universities and academic institutions of six countries, such as the Russian Federation, the People’s Republic of China, and the Republic of Korea, have been allowed to participate in the summer school.

Over the first seven days, the young Mongolists will attend lectures given by scholars from leading training and research institutions for Mongol studies, such as the Mongolian Academy of Sciences and the National University of Mongolia, and also visit historical sites in Ulaanbaatar. In the remaining seven days, they will experience the nomadic way of life and culture of the Mongols firsthand.
