Best Regional Entrepreneur Companies of Mongolia Awarded

Ulaanbaatar, January 2, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The “Entrepreneur-2024” Awards Ceremony, which recognizes the best enterprises, organizations, and entrepreneurs of the year, took place on December 27, 2024, at the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI).


Companies were selected in the following categories:


  • Best Manufacturing Entrepreneur: “Milko”
  • Best Service Entrepreneur: “Hunnu Air”
  • Best Export Entrepreneur: “Khanbogd Cashmere”
  • Best Agricultural Entrepreneur: “Metagro”
  • Best Tourism Entrepreneur: “Bayankhairkhan Trade”
  • Best Start-Up Entrepreneur: “M Nemekh”
  • Best Micro Entrepreneur: “Shim Erdene Brand”
  • Best Small and Medium Business Entrepreneur: “Gobi Aigar”


In total, around 20 companies were recognized across various fields.


MNCCI’s new leadership reaffirmed its commitment to fostering the development of branded products in Mongolia’s seven regions and supporting start-ups, small businesses, and SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises).


To broaden the scope of entrepreneurial recognition and enhance local businesses’ competitiveness, a new Regional Entrepreneur category was introduced this year, reflecting Mongolia’s updated regional divisions:


  • Western Region Entrepreneur: “Tsen Gazar”
  • Khangai Region Entrepreneur: “Nutag Khuns”
  • Gobi Region Entrepreneur: “Tavantolgoi”
  • Northern Region Entrepreneur: “And Energy”


A standout moment of the Ceremony was the Special Award from the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI), which was presented to “MonPellets.” The company, known for producing organic fertilizers from sheep wool, exports its products to European markets.


The Awards Ceremony was attended by Javkhlan Bayarsaikhan, Advisor to the President of Mongolia on Project Coordination and Civil Society Policies, Tsogtbaatar Damdin, Member of State Great Khural of Mongolia, leading Members of the MNCCI, and former MNCCI Chairs J. Gulguu and M. Oyunchimeg, who also participated in handing out the awards.
