Mongolia to Collaborate with International Organizations to Support Family and Children’s Rights

Ulaanbaatar, January 10, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Officials of the Ministry of Family, Labor, and Social Protection of Mongolia met with international organizations to exchange views on policies and activities to be implemented regarding family and children’s rights. 


The meeting was attended by representatives from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the International Labor Organization (ILO), Japan’s Save the Children’s Fund, World Vision International, OneSky, Good Neighbors, the International Development Law Organization (IDLO), the Lorinet Foundation, and the General Authority for Child, Family Development and Protection. Acting Head of the Department of Family Policy of the Ministry of Family, Labor, and Social Protection M. Tsogtbaatar presented a report on the topic “Current Situation, Policy, Legal Framework, and Reforms Regarding Families and Children,” and was introduced to the 2025 plans of the participating organizations. 


Minister of Family, Labor, and Social Protection Enkh-Amgalan Luvsantseren noted, “The Ministry will continue to hold regular meetings with international organizations. We will establish a Working Group to address family support policies, the implementation and outcomes of related activities, child labor issues, and policy recommendations. Additionally, we will exchange information on child protection during disasters and emergencies, the outcomes of measures on treating traumas, and the allocation of funding for child protection services.”
