“Population and Housing Census of Mongolia” Book Series Donated to the University of Warsaw

Ulaanbaatar, April 8, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The annual Meeting of the Foreign Diplomatic Corps in the Republic of Poland with the Freshmen of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University of Warsaw was held on April 7, 2025.
Ambassador Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Poland Oyundari Navaan-Yunden
attended the meeting. The Ambassador extended her best wishes for academic
success to the newly enrolled students of Oriental Studies, particularly those
choosing to specialize in Mongol Studies, and invited them to visit Mongolia.
During the meeting, copies of the
nine-volume book series titled “Population and Housing Census of Mongolia"
were presented to Rector of the University of Warsaw Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak and
Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University of Warsaw Agata
Bareja-Starzyńska. The series of books comprises research conducted by the
renowned Mongolist scholar Władysław Kotwicz, based on the 1915 Population
Census of Mongolia, which is kept in the Archive of Science of the Polish
Academy of Sciences.
The Embassy of Mongolia to the Republic
of Poland introduced Mongol history, culture, and traditional cuisine to the
students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at the University of Warsaw.
