People's Artist E. Amartuvshin Named One of the World's Top Five Opera Singers

Ulaanbaatar, June 13, 2025 /MONTSAME/. People’s Artist and Cultural Envoy Amartuvshin Enkhbat has been
ranked fourth on the list of the world’s top opera singers by the international
platform “Opera World”.
Opera singers from the
Russian Federation and the Federal Republic of Germany preceded him on the list. Amartuvshin Enkhbat has showcased his exceptional talent on the world’s most prestigious stages,
earning high praise from opera enthusiasts and critics alike and proving once
again his status as one of the finest in the field.
E. Amartuvshin is set
to perform in the 102nd season of the renowned “Arena di Verona” Festival this
year, where he will appear in the opening performance of Verdi’s “Nabucco”. As
part of the festival, he is scheduled to sing seven times in “Nabucco”, twice
in “Rigoletto”, five times in “Aida”, and three times in “La Traviata”. In
2011, Amartuvshin was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Mongolia, and
eleven years later, he was named People's Artist by a presidential decree
issued by President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa.
Since starting his professional
career in classical music in 2009, E. Amartuvshin secured second place and the Audience
Choice Award at the 14th International Tchaikovsky Competition. Furthermore, he
won first place at the prestigious Operalia competition, founded by renowned
tenor Plácido Domingo, in 2012. In 2013, he claimed second prize at the
Francisco Viñas International Singing Competition, along with a special award
for Best Performance of a Russian Composer’s Work. In 2015, he received the
Audience Prize at the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition, and in 2016,
he secured third place at the Seoul International Music Competition.
