Economic Development Council Re-Established

Ulaanbaatar, September 25, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Economic Development Council was re-established, and its structure and operational procedures were approved at the Cabinet meeting on September 24, 2025.
The Council
is responsible for providing professional support and assistance to the Prime
Minister of Mongolia, as well as policy recommendations and information based
on research and analysis, to create a favorable environment for business and
investment and diversify the economy. The Council comprises the Prime Minister,
Deputy Prime Minister, and relevant members of the Government, the Governor of the
Bank of Mongolia, the Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Commission, representatives
of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, professional
associations, universities, and large enterprises.
The
establishment of the Economic Development Council will not increase the state
budget. The functions of the Council’s office are performed by the “Economic
Development Board,” a state budgetary enterprise.
