Experts Convene to Discuss ‘White Gold - 2025’ Strategy, Next Steps

Ulaanbaatar, November 4, 2025 /MONTSAME/. A scientific conference on White Gold-2025 was held as part of the national movement to support the processing of livestock-sourced raw materials, implemented under the auspices of the President of Mongolia.
The event was opened by Javkhlan Bayarsaikhan, Advisor to the President of Mongolia on Project and Program Coordination and Civil Society Policy, and Ph.D. Ganzorig Nadmidtseden, Associate Professor and Director of Light Industry and Design at the Mongolian University of Science and Technology. Both speakers emphasized the importance of strengthening the bridge between science, research, production, and policy in the sector.
Throughout the conference, scientists and industry representatives held in-depth discussions on the implementation of the White Gold initiative. Key topics included its financing model, strategies for expanding production, effects on product diversity, human resource policies, current challenges, and future goals and solutions.
The conference brought together 11 experts and more than 100 scientists, researchers, and manufacturers from Arkhangai, Gobisumber, Bulgan, Khentii, Dornod, Darkhan-Uul, Dundgobi, Selenge, Orkhon, and Dornogobi aimags. Their participation contributed to the advancement of Mongolia’s national wool and cashmere industry and helped reinforce the link between scientific research and industrial practice.
