Road Border Crossings to Temporarily Close on Lunar New Year

Ulaanbaatar, January 23, 2026 /MONTSAME/. Mongolia will temporarily close its road border crossings with China from February 17 to 20, 2026, in observance of the traditional Lunar New Year (Tsagaan Sar).


According to the General Department of Customs, rail traffic through the Zamyn-Uud border crossing will continue to operate normally, with international train services running as scheduled.

The operating schedule and temporary closures of road border crossings for February are provided in the table below.
