Judokas ranked high in IJF
SportsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The International Judo Federation Wednesday issued the latest rankings of judokas, following results of European series ran last week.
According to the rankings, a State Honored Sportswoman and World champion M.Urantsetseg kept her leadership in the women’s -48 kg division with 3,214 points. She was followed by an Argentinean judoka Paula Pareto (2,821 points).
Another Mongolian D.Sumiya also maintained a top position in the women’s -57 kg category, having 2,581 points. D.Tomorkhuleg IMS stepped down from the leadership position in the men’s -66 kg, following a South Korean Baul An.
A 2014 World champion G.Boldbaatar went down to fifth place with 1,711 points in the men’s -60 kg division. In this category, D.Amartuvshin (1,392 points) stayed at 11th place.
An Olympic bronze medalist S.Nyam-Ochir went up to 10th place in the men’s -73kg with 1,264 points, and his countryman G.Odbayar kept his 14th place, having 1,055 points in the same division. L.Otgonbaatar IMS was ranked 10th place in the men’s -90kg category, while a State Honored Sportswoman Ts.Munkhzaya (woman’s 63 kg) was up to sixth place with 1,859 points.
