M.Ankhtsetseg wins gold in Merida few days after championing in Tokyo
SportsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Ankhtsetseg Munkhjantsan, 19, showed another brilliant success in Merida of Mexico where the 2016 World University Championships are underway right after her win in Tokyo in women’s 75 kg of the Junior and Youth Weightlifting Championships of Asia.
She became the world champion in her weight, having lifted a total of 235 kg – 130 kg in clean and jerk and 105 kg in snatch. She was followed by weightlifters of Mexico and Canada.
M.Ankhtsetseg ordered 136 kg for her final try. Unfortunately, she had a minor injury in the attempt. For financial reasons, she participated in the above mentioned competitions by herself, without her coach. Canadian coaches have supported her through the course of her performance in Merida.
