D.Otgondalai overwhelms his opponents in Thailand

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Thailand International Invitational Boxing Tournament, formerly known as the King’s Cup, was held in Bangkok, Thailand on April 2-10. From a total of over 100 participants of 18 countries, State Honored Athlete and Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games bronze medalist, ACBC Asian Champion and Icheon 2014 Asian Games winner D.Otgondalai snatched victory in 60 kg, winning his second gold medal from the tournament.
Under the guidance of coach D.Batsuren, People’s Teacher and State Honored Coach D.Bandi and N.Munkhsaikhan, 11 athletes naming G.Gan-Erdene (49 kg), M.Gandulam (52 kg), O.Munkhsaikhan (56 kg), State Honored Athlete D.Otgondalai (60 kg), World Military Champion B.Chinzorig (64 kg), silver and bronze medalist of ASBC Asian Boxing Championship B.Tuvshinbayar (69 kg) and J.Otgonjargal (75 kg) participated in the tournament.
By total points, Mongolian team won USD 7.5 thousand as D.Otgondalai won gold medal in 60 kg while G.Gan-Erdene won bronze medal in 49 kg. Previously, D.Otgondalai won his first gold medal from the same tournament in 2008.
