Junior National Wrestling Championships to be held named after J.Munkhbat

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ 2017 National Championships of Junior Freestyle Wrestlers will take place on April 24-27 at Buyant-Ukhaa Sports Palace in Ulaanbaatar. From this year, the annual event will be named after Hero of Labor and Merit Athlete of Mongolia, Undefeatable Giant of Nation-titled Munkhbat Jigjid. He is Mexico 1968 Olympic silver medalist, World Championship bronze medalist.
This year is marking the 50th anniversary of the historic event J.Munkhbat became the first athlete to bring medal from the World Championship in category of free style wrestling. Also, he is the first Olympic silver medalist of Mongolia.
The tournament will be co-held by the Mongolian Wrestling Federation and Hakuho Foundation on the occasion of the half-century jubilee of the significant event.
