Four boxers win medals at Asian Championship

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ International Masters of Sports G.Gan-Erdene and B.Chinzorig made the final fight for gold in their respective weights yesterday, May 8, at the Asian Boxing Championships. They both claimed silver medals.
In men’s 49 kg, International Master of Sports G.Gan-Erdene fought with “Rio 2016” gold-medalist Hasanboy Dusmatov of Uzbekistan, and was defeated by 5:0. G.Gan-Erdene won bronze medal in 2015 Asian Championship.
The army world champion B.Chinzorig’s rival in the final fight was with Holdarov Ikboljon, also from the host country Uzbekistan. The fight ended with 5:0 score, as well. This silver medal is the first medal for B.Chinzorig at the continental championship.
State Honored Athlete, Rio 2016’s bronze-medalist D.Otgondalai (60kg) and International Master of Sports B.Tuvshinbat (69kg) both secured bronze medals.
Thus, these Mongolian boxers earned their entry to the world championships.
