Mountaineer D.Otgonkhuu wins Red Fox Elbrus Race

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian mountaineer D.Otgonkhuu gained a gold medal from the international Red Fox Elbrus Race 2017, by mountain running to the top of the Mount Elbrus /5642 meter/ for 2 hours, 59 minutes and 13 seconds. The annual international race was held on the Mount Elbrus, the highest mountain in Europe, from May 1 to 5.
D.Otgonkhuu, who is a member of the UB Hiking Club based in Ulaanbaatar, become the first mountaineer from Mongolia to win in the skyrunning category of the Red Fox Elbrus Race and set a new record of Mongolia. He participated in the race for the fifth time.
The Red Fox Elbrus Race was attended by 350 mountaineers from 12 countries.
