Int’l sports journalists meeting in South Korea

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On May 9 to 13, the 80th Congress of the International Sports Press Association (AIPS) is taking place in Pyeongchang county of the Republic of Korea where the 2018 Winter Olympics will be organized.
More than 250 sports journalists and reporters from over 100 countries, including Mongolia are attending the meeting, exchanging views on the state of sports journalism, media coverage of international sports events and issues on press freedom, corruption and doping.
On the last day of the meeting, the AIPS will hold elections to choose its president, vice president and members of its Executive Committee.
This is the third AIPS Congress to be hosted in South Korea, with previous meetings took place in 1987 and 2011 in Seoul city.
