Four more wild horses sent from Prague Zoo

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Prague zoo of the Republic of Czech sent four more wild horses or Przewalski horses to Mongolia, releasing them on the ‘B’ part of the Strictly Prohibited Area of Great Gobi on 20 June.
Reintroduction of takhi to Mongolia, the animal which has been driven to extinction since 1968 in the country, has been implemented for over 25 years. By now, there are over 600 wild horses. As of the first half of this year, takhi population has grown by 55 foals.
Prague zoo director Miroslav Bobek, Deputy Director Yaroslov Simak, President of International Takhi group Tomas Fphisterer took part in the transportation of the wild horses.
