Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ State Honored Athlete G.Usukhbayar has stopped his climb to K2, the Savage Mountain.

The mountaineer broke the news on social media on July 30, saying that his attempt to conquer the K2 Mountain in Pakistan has failed due to inevitable reasons. He began his ascent on August 25.

“I was only focusing on the ascent ahead, but didn’t calculate the cowardice and inconsistency in humans”, he wrote. He claimed that he was left alone at the height of 6450 meters as his partners both abandoned him mid-climb.

“I couldn’t possibly continue the climb alone, and I am sorry I couldn’t make it”, he apologized to the Mongolian people. “I tried my best”, he said.
