Representatives of young people discuss positive life

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ About 500 representatives of Mongolia’s younger generation convened last Friday, August 25, discussing their issues and promoting positivity.
As August 25 is marked as Youth Day in Mongolia, the Youth Development Department of the capital city administration in cooperation with its affiliates in the 9 districts organized a meeting themed ‘Living with positivity’ on this day.
Aiming to create conducive environment for the younger generation to live and work, increase the participation of young people in infrastructure development in the capital city, ingrain positivity in the attitude of young people, enable opportunities of freely expressing their mind, and conveying the voice of the young people in decision-making process, the meeting gathered young people aged between 15 and 39 at the Children’s Palace.
In pursuit of fulfilling these objectives, the Youth Development Department has established a Youth Development Center which will offer free seminars on information technology. The center will serve as the facility to train IT experts in scope of projects and programs to enhance to capacity of Mongolian IT professionals, and elevating their skills to world standard. According to S.Sukh-Ochir, Head of the department, four young people have been sent to the Republic of Korea for an internship program. Within this year, 20 more young people will be selected.
The Youth Development Department is also carrying out a campaign on positive life which has, by far, engaged 5000 young people.
