D.Otgondalai to compete for silver in World Championships

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ D.Otgondalai, an Olympic bronze medalist and State Honored Sportsman, was qualified to the semi-finals of lightweight division of the AIBA World Boxing Championships continuing in Hamburg, Germany.
D.Otgondalai had a bye in the first round, and then beat his Israeli and Venezuelan opponents in the second and quarterfinal bouts. In accordance with the tournament schedule, he will fight against Sofiane Oumiha of France at the semi-finals for silver medal on September 1.
Mongolia is being represented at the World Championships by four boxers and their coaches. Three boxers have been eliminated in preliminary rounds.
