World top shooters to compete in tournament dedicated to Olympic medalist D.Munkhbayar

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ An international tournament of Olympic and World champions in shooting will be held on 17 September in Ulaanbaatar to give respect to the Olympic double bronze medalist and two-time World champion D.Munkhbayar.
25 years ago or on July 27,1992 D.Munkhbayar won bronze medal in the Women’s 25 metre pistol in the 25th Olympic Game in Barcelona, Spain. It was the first Olympic medal by Mongolian woman athlete. On the occasion of this 25th anniversary and step down of athlete D.Munkhbayar, Mongolian National Olympic Committee, Sports and Women commission, Mongolian Shooting Federation and Mongolian Sports journalist Union are jointly organizing the event.
The world top ranking shooters including Olympic and World champions Maria Grozdeva (Bulgaria), Yasna Sekarich (Serbia), Nina Salukwadze (Georgia), Olympic silver, World bronze medal winner O.Gundegmaa (Mongolia) have been invited to the tournament.
On September 16-18, a photo exhibition displaying the sport lives and successes of D.Munkhbayar and O.Gundegmaa will take place in ‘Blue Mon” gallery.
