Weighlifter M.Ankhtsetseg wins gold medal at Ashgabat 2017

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A Mongolian weightlifter M.Ankhtsetseg has claimed a gold medal at the ongoing 5th Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games – Ashgabat 2017 in Turkmenistan.
The 19-year-old athlete successfully lifted 235 kg to claim victory in women’s +75 kg weight category. M.Ankhtsetseg was followed by Uzbek weightlifter Omadoy Otakuzieva and Japanese weightlifter Ayumi Kamiya.
D.Zagdsuren, Chairperson of Information and Statistics Committee of the Olympic Council of Asia and President of Mongolian Weightlifting Federation and Mongolian National Olympic Committee presented the medal to the athlete.
Mongolian athletes are partaking in kurash, belt wrestling, jiu-jitsu, sambo, billiard, freestyle wrestling, weightlifting, electronic sports, kickboxing, dancing and 3x3 basketball competitions at the Ashgabat 2017 which wraps up on September 27.
