Mongolian Football Federation awards best footballers

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The annual Golden Ball award ceremony took place at the Shangri-La Hotel in the evening of December 12. The award ceremony is organized by the Mongolian Football Federation (MFF).

Mongolia’s best football players were selected in various categories including Best Male and Female Player of the Year, Best Coach of the Year, Best Coach of Men’s Team, Best Coach of Women’s Team and Best Foreign Player. Furthermore, the MFF chose Symbol -11 footballers of the Year and awarded three winners with the prize named after the President of the MFF.

Best player of the year went to M.Tuguldur, Midfielder of Erchim FC. He scored a total of 10 goals in 17 games and passed five goals. Thanks to the achievement, he received the award of the best midfielder of the National league. Then G.Tsolmon, Midfielder of Arvis FC, received the Best Female Player of the Year.

Z.Battulga, Coach of Erchim FC, was awarded with the Best Coach of the Men’s team while B.Bold, Coach of Tuuliin Tom Tulnuud (Big Taimens of Tuul), won the Best Coach of the Women’s team.

Best Foreign Player, which has recently been added to the Golden Ball, went to midfielder of Erchim FC Shuta Ishino with his achievement of scoring 12 goals and passing 10 goals.

Referee of the MFF D.Tumenbayar, who is also a referee for the FIFA, won the Best Referee of the Year.

Finally, a prize named after the President of the MFF went to S.Erdene-Ochir, Head Coach of the Mongolian National Futsal Team, and Ulaanbaatar City FC of the Khurkhree National Premier League. Mongolian team qualified for the last 8 teams in the Asian Football Confederation U-20 Futsal Championships. It became the first Mongolian National Football team who qualified for quarter final in the Asian Championships.
