She defeated Cuban judoka Del Toro Carvajal with Yuko and Waza-ari scores. In the first round B.Gankhaich won German judoka Pohl Dena, and in the second round she won Spanish Judoka Padilla Guerrero with Waza-ari while in the last round she competed for the silver medal and lost to Japanese judoka Tsugane Megumi.
