54-year-old bicycle tour between Ulaanbaatar and Beijing to be revived

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ 54 years ago 13 Mongolian cyclists traveled total of 3000 km in Ulaanbaatar-Beijing-Ulaanbaatar route on bicycle. On March 28 the Physical Culture and Sports Authority announced that the bicycle tour will be organized again in August this year.
Chinese company Grand China pledged to sponsor the bicycle tour. The families of the Mongolian cyclists reminisced that the cyclists started their tour on January 15, 1964 from the Sukhbaatar Square and were welcomed reverently by some leaders of China as they reached the Tiananmen Square.
