Yokozuna Kakuryu M.Anand claims his 5th Emperor’s Cup

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 71st Yokozuna Kakuryu M.Anand becomes the champion of the summer’s sumo tournament Natsu Basho held in Tokyo with a total of 14 wins and 1 loss in Makuuchi division.
It was his second winning basho consecutively for the first time, claiming the Emperor’s Cup for the fifth time. Although Georgian sumo wrestler Tochinoshin led the tournament, he ended the basho with 13 wins and 2 losses, reaching the threshold for promotion to Ozeki.
The 69th Yokozuna Hakuho M.Davaajargal ended the Natsu basho with 12 wins and 3 loss by losing to Yokozuna Kakuryu M.Anand.
