Boxers from 13 countries competing in Ulaanbaatar

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The ‘Ulaanbaatar Cup 2018’ International Boxing Tournament began at the Circus Mongolia on June 20.
Boxers from 13 countries are competing in the tournament on June 20-24. From Mongolia, 40 athletes, divided into four teams, are participating in the tournament enjoying the privilege of a host country.

This year marks the 70th year anniversary of the development of boxing sport in Mongolia, the 30th year anniversary of N.Enkhbat's first bronze medal from the 1988 Seoul Olympic games, and the 10th year anniversary of E.Badar-Uugan’s gold medal and P.Serdamba’s silver medal from the 2008 Beijing Olympic games.
In the tournament dedicated to these anniversaries some 120 athletes from North Korea, Thailand, Iraq, Iran, Russia, India, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Kyrgyzstan, China / Inner Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Taiwan, and Mongolia are competing.
Head judge of the tournament was appointed by the International Boxing Association (AIBA) and half of the judges are foreigners. The tournament admission is free for everyone and Mongolian Boxing Federation is calling everyone to come and support Mongolian athletes at the Circus Mongolia.
