The Rhythmic Gymnastics Asian Cup wraps up successfully in Ulaanbaatar

On October 25-28, the 1st Rhythmic Gymnastics Asian Cup took place in Ulaanbaatar, selecting its victors.

The tournament was organized by the Mongolian Gymnastics Federation (MGF) with the support of the Mongolian Government. Over 100 gymnasts, judges, coaches and officials from 11 countries, such as Taiwan, North Korea, India, Kazakhstan and South Korea, attended the tournament.

 

While the Kazakhstan team won 8 gold and 2 silver medals, the North Korean team got 3 gold medals. As for the South Korean team, they claimed 1 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze medals. The Mongolian team that consisted of 22 members, won 2 silver and 5 bronze medals, making history in Mongolian gymnastics, as the medals were the first from a continental tournament since the sport was developed in the country in 1971.
