Seven medals grabbed from Russia Open Cup

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The 5th Russia Open Cup - Women’s Freestyle Wrestling tournament was held in Cheboksary, Russia from November 30 to December 1. Under the coaching of IM U.Uuganbayar, the Mongolian team consisting of eight members, succeeded to grab 2 gold and 5 bronze medals.
While S.Tserenchimed regained her 1st place in 57 kg after two years, Kh.Bolortuya made a new personal achievement by winning the gold medal in 60 kg. As for the others, IM Ts.Namuuntsetseg, IM E.Sumiya, IM B.Shoovdor, IM A.Battsetseg and O.Nasanburmaa won bronze medals in their respective weight classes of 50 kg, 53 kg, 59 kg, 62 kg and 68 kg. In the quarter finals, IM E.Gantuya had to face off against A.Battsetseg in 62 kg, who came out victorious over her with 4:3.
IM A.Battsetseg has not only won medals at every open cup tournament, but also have made the rare achievement of winning a medal in 4 weight classes (53 kg, 55 kg, 57 kg, 62 kg).
