Fifth stage of Dakar Rally faces difficult weather conditions

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. IM N.Lkhamaa successfully completed the two hardest stages of the 2019 Dakar Rally.
As the 4th and 5th stages were marathon stages and no outside servicing is allowed, the racers would have been in a very difficult situation if they had a technical issue. Despite its difficulty, N.Lkhamaa finished the 351 km race in 8 hours and 40 minutes, ranking 94th in the overall ranking.
For the 5th stage, the racers in the car, SxS and truck classes had to cover the distance of 450 km from Tacna to Arequipa. However, due to the bad weather conditions, the stage came to a halt, finishing the race at 425 km.
IM U.Byambadelger and IM U.Byambatsogt, who are participating in the car class, finished the race in 7 hours 44 minutes and 23 seconds, ranking 33rd in the stage.
