Eastern Asia Chess Championship to be hosted in Ulaanbaatar

/MONTSAME/ Eastern Asia Chess Championship – FIDE Zone 3.3 is to be hosted in
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from April 6 to April 16. The Mongolian Chess Federation today
reported about organization of the tournament.
Top TWO - the winner and runner-up players in the Open section will be qualified for the World Cup 2019 and the winner of the Women’s section will be qualified for the Women’s World Championship. For the qualification, some 100 top-rated chess players from Mongolia, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia and Hong Kong, have informed to participate.
Particularly,
top-rated chess players led by Filipino chess Grand Master (GM) Eugene-Torre,
Indonesian chess GM Susanto Megaranto, Vietnamese chess GM Tran MinThang,
Indonesian International Master of Chess Novendra Priasmo, Vietnamese IM Tran
Tuan Minh, and International Masters B.Khatanbaatar, B.Gundavaa, Ts.Batchuluun
and B.Munkhtuul from Mongolia will take part.
A judge team is comprised of 11 judges, including head judge of the tournament G.Oyunchimeg and deputy judge Jamie Kenmure. During the tournament, international judge training, coach training as well as ‘Mongolia Chess’ Open Tournament will be held.
