National athletes prevail at ‘Mongolia Open 2019’ wrestling tournament

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian team led the ‘Mongolia Open 2019’ International Freestyle Wrestling Tournament with 16 gold, 11 silver and 27 bronze medals. The tournament was held on April 6-7 at the Buyant Ukhaa Sport Palace.
More than 300 wrestlers from nine countries including Mongolia, Russia, China, Japan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Singapore, Yemen and Belarus competed in 10 weight categories for men and women respectively.
The Russian team placed second with two gold, four silver and three bronze medals, while the Kazakh team took third place with one gold, two silver and one bronze. The Japanese team followed Kazakhstan with a gold, silver and bronze medals.
