Young chess players claim 3 gold, 3 silver and one bronze at World School Chess Championship

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A total of 23 Mongolian young chess players represented the country in the World School Chess Championship which took place in Antalya, Turkey on April 17-27.


Mongolian chess players claimed 3 gold, 3 silver and one bronze medals. The gold medal winners were E.Enkhrii, an athlete of Mongolian Children’s Palace  in girls under 11 age category, Kh.Bayasgalan, an athlete of Bosoo Noyon Club  in girls under 13 age category and O.Ulziikhishigjargal, an athlete of ‘Tuv’ club in girls under 17 age category.  B.Anand, an athlete of the 1st secondary school claimed silver medal in open under 11 age category, D.Munkhzul, an athlete of ‘Tuv’ Club in girls under 13 age category and N.Naran-Erdene from Sukhbaatar aimag in girls under 17 age category claimed silver medals.


D.Sukhbat, an athlete from Tuv aimag captured a bronze medal in open under 15 age category.  


As a sum of team score, Mongolian team led the championship, followed by teams of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
