Australian e-sports team with Mongolian player wins USD 30 thousand

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. A regional qualifier tournament for the StarLadder Berlin Major, a large scale international championship tournament for the online game, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, was held in Berlin, Germany between July 24 and 28.
An Australian e-sports team named ‘Grayhound’, with one of which players in its roster being Erdenetsogt “erkaSt” Gantulga, competed in the StarLadder Berlin Major 2019: Asia Minor qualifier tournament, and took first place, winning a total of USD 30,000 as the prize.
With this, they qualify for the StarLadder Berlin Major, in which the world’s best CS:GO teams will be competing, and also won the right to have online stickers with the team’s logo and players’ signatures.
This is a historical event for the Mongolian e-sports scene as the first Mongolian player to participate in the major tournament does it once more. G.Erdenetsogt is a professional Mongolian CS:GO player currently studying in Melbourne, Australia.
