Mongolia’s team participating in World Police & Fire Games with great success

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia's team comprising of police and military officials have grabbed more medals at the World Police and Fire Games being held in Chengdu, China between August 8 and 18.

On the first days of the competition, two gold medals were grabbed in judo by State Honored Athlete, Patrol Department's officer, Lieutenant colonel Kh.Batkhishig in women’s 78 kg and International Master, patrol of the 805th military unit, Senior sergeant S.Batgal in men’s 66 kg.

The athletes competed in jujutsu on the sixth day of the competition, harvesting nine medals. Specifically, in blue belt category, silver medals were grabbed by officer of the Special Operations Department, Major T.Otgonzaya in 88 kg, patrol of the 805th military unit, Senior sergeant S.Batgal in 68 kg, inspector of the Traffic Police Department’s Khan-Uul division, Lieutenant B.Janchivdorj in +100 kg while a bronze was won by Head of the Traffic Police Department’s Planning and Coordination Division, Police colonel D.Ganzorig in 88 kg.


In white belt category, inspector of the Traffic Police Department’s Khan-Uul division, Lieutenant D.Batjargal took gold in 100 kg, officer of the Police Department of Khentii aimag, Police lieutenant M.Gantogtokh – silver in 86 kg, and senior coach of the Khuch sports committee of the National Police Agency, Lieutenant B.Bayarmunkh – bronze in 88 kg.

Two more gold medals were won in NoGi by inspector of the Traffic Police Department’s Khan-Uul division, Lieutenant D.Batjargal in -100 kg and officer of the Special Operations Department, Major T.Otgonzaya in 88 kg.


On August 14, officer of the Police Department of Bayan-Ulgii aimag, Master of Sports Kh.Beknur claimed gold in karate.
