Mongolian wrestlers claim three gold medals

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Mongolian
freestyle wrestlers grabbed three gold, three silver and one bronze, or 7
medals in total from the 27th annual international tournament named after by
Boris Dugdanovich Budaev, a well-known Buryat wrestler. This tournament was
held in Ulan-Ude, Buryatia, Russian Federation last weekend.
This year the tournament is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the victory of
Boris Dugdanovich at the World Championship. He won gold medal, the first
in the history of Buryatia, at the world championship on September 3, 1989 in
Switzerland. Moreover, Boris Budaev also became winner of the world championships
of youth and seniors.
More than 200 young wrestlers
from Mongolia, Kazakhstan, China and Russia competed in 10 weight classes. From
Mongolia, 30 wrestlers of ‘Hasu Megastars,’ ‘Khangai Khuchten’ and ‘Tulgat’
clubs and ‘Avarga,’ ‘Ireeduin Odod’ sports schools took part in the
event.
