Prime Minister extends Children’s Day greetings

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On the occasion of Children’s Day, Prime Minister of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh extended greetings.
After mentioning greater attention should be paid to ensure children’s rights are protected not only on this day, but every day, the Prime Minister expressed his condolences and sympathy on the recent loss of children during an accident due to negligence by adults.
Then, he mentioned about the government’s measures to protect the children’s rights, such as a gradual expansion and introduction of children protection and prevention services and their expenses as well as additional monthly money allowance amid COVID-19 pandemic.
“Several changes made to the Law on Social Welfare, which allowed mothers with many children and single parents with many children to receive more welfare benefits. Despite these actions toward children protection, we are fully aware that we need to do better for them and all adults must work more closely together to protect our children” he noted in his greetings.
The Prime Minister also pledged to increase the government spending for child protection works and encouraged all citizens and companies to join their efforts with the government for upholding children's rights.
