Boxer Tugstsogt to fight Cobia Breedy

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Eduardo Ramirez, who was scheduled to fight Mongolian professional boxer Tugstsogt Nyambayar on September 19 for a title eliminator bout in Connecticut, tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the rules of the WBC, any boxer to compete in a WBC bout is required to obtain and provide to the WBC medical examinations and medical test results as the WBC may deem necessary to confirm the boxer’s health and ability to compete safely. In compliance to the current situation of he COVID-19 pandemic, boxers also tested for COVID-19 and Eduardo Ramirez tested positive for the virus, becoming unable to compete in the bout.
Therefore, the WBC has resolved to replace Eduardo Ramirez with Cobia “Soldier” Breedy (15-0-0, 5KOs) for the bout.
After competing in number of tournaments including Olympic Games and Commonwealth Games, Barbados’ Cobia Breedy started his career in professional boxing scene in 2014 and remains undefeated until today.
The fight will be live on Showtime TV on September 19 at 6:00 pm (PT).
