International Day of University Sport 2020 celebrated

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Officially proclaimed by the UNESCO in 2015, the 20th of September is celebrated as the International Day of University Sport. The International University Sports Federation (FISU) supported the initiation and began celebrating the day from 2016 in partnership with its member states, government organizations and universities.
The Mongolian Student Sports Federation marked the day for the fifth year and organized a run challenge among students for a distance of 19,920 meters at the National Garden Park under the motto “We are together”.
Teams from 12 universities took part in the event and the team from the Mongolian National Institute of Physical Education won the first place with success of 1 hour and 16 minutes followed by the team from the National Defense University which finished the race with 1 hour and 18 minutes. And the team from the Mongolian State University of Education took the third place with 1 hour and 20 minutes.
