S.Tugsjargal appointed as FIBA representative for the second time

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. In March 2021, the International
Basketball Federation’s (FIBA) Central Board decided to organize FIBA U15
Skills Challenges 2021 among athletes representing 54 countries.
Mongolia’s national boys’ and girls’ teams will be
participating in the tournament. While the boys’ team has been put into Pool B
with teams of China, Tahiti, and Syria, the girls’ team has also been put into
Pool B, facing off against teams of China, Samoa, and Iran.
Furthermore, Tugsjargal Sambuu has been appointed as the
FIBA representative in charge of organizing and monitoring the tournament. It is the second time for him to be appointed as a FIBA representative.
He is the first ever Mongolian to be appointed as a FIBA
representative. In the FIBA U17 Skill Challenges 2020 tournament in which he
was appointed for the first time, our national men’s team became the
champion.
