Cabinet meeting in brief

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. During today’s regular meeting of the Cabinet, the following decisions were made:
-Minister of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry Z.Mendsaikhan
was tasked to present the funding of USD 60 million to develop a greenhouse and
build a new 20-hectare winter greenhouse, USD 40 million to increase storage
capacity by 35,000 tons and USD 100 million required to increase vegetable
storage and sales to the National Security Council.
-Minister of Finance B.Javkhlan was instructed to study and
develop a proposal on the development of Darkhan Metallurgical Plant and
Erdenet Mining Corporation as a regional mining and metallurgical cluster. In
addition, the relevant officials were instructed to conduct an audit of the
financial and other activities of the Darkhan Metallurgical Plant, to settle
the accumulated debts, and to take necessary measures to ensure the normal and
efficient operation of the company.
-The working group established by the decree of the Prime
Minister of Mongolia got acquainted with the activities of Gashuunsukhait,
Shiveekhuren, Tsagaandel-Uul, and Khangi border checkpoints and informed the
Cabinet meeting about the relevant measures taken.
