Courtesy call paid on President of ROK

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On May 10, Chief of the Staff of the President of Mongolia Ya.Sodbaatar attended the inauguration ceremony of President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Seok-youl as a special envoy of President U.Khurelsukh.
On the following day of the inauguration ceremony, Chief
of Staff Ya.Sodbaatar paid a courtesy call on President Yoon Seok-youl.
Conveying the warmest greetings of the President of Mongolia, Chief of Staff Ya.Sodbaatar expressed Mongolia’s commitment to further strengthen the ‘Strategic Partnership” between the two nations.
He noted that Mongolia exempted visa requirements for tourists of the Republic of Korea with a view to intensifying the post-pandemic economic recovery and expanding the exchange of citizens of the two countries. In accordance with this, Mr. Sodbaatar asked the President to pay attention to facilitating the travel of Mongolian citizens to the Republic of Korea.
He also emphasized that Mongolia aims to stabilize political dialogue with the Republic of Korea, increase air cargo in the framework of liberalization of air relations, and develop cooperation in geology and mining. Moreover, he handed over an invitation from President U.Khurelsukh to President Yoon Seok-youl to visit Mongolia at his convenience.
While thanking Mr. Sodbaatar for attending the
inauguration ceremony, President Yoon Seok-youl expressed his willingness to
work closely with President of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh to deepen the
traditionally friendly relations between the two nations. He then said that he
would pay attention to facilitating the travel of Mongolian citizens to the
Republic of Korea.
The meeting was attended by incoming Minister of Foreign
Affairs of the Republic of Korea Park Jin and Ambassador Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Korea N.Erdenetuya.
