Mongolian Ice Hockey Team Wins IIHF World Championship Division IV

Ulaanbaatar, April 24, 2024. /MONTSAME/. The Mongolian National Ice Hockey Team won the “D” Division of the World Ice Hockey Championship 2024.
The 2024 IIHF World Championship Division IV International Ice Hockey Tournament started in Kuwait on April 16, 2024. The Mongolian team won the opening match against Indonesia with a score of 9-3. The team then defeated the host country, Kuwait, with a score of 5-2 and went on to beat Malaysia with a score of 14-2, thus becoming the champions of the 4th Division. With the successful participation in Division IV, the Mongolian team advanced to Division III of the World Ice Hockey Championship.
Additionally, the Mongolian U18 Ice Hockey Team will depart from Mongolia on April 26, 2024, to participate in the Asian Championship in Uzbekistan on April 27-28, 2024.
