Mongolian Chess Players Shine at Big Rook International Chess Festival

Ulaanbaatar, May 8, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The 4th Big Rook International Chess Festival 2024 was held in Bangkok, Thailand, on May 1-6, 2024.
Five athletes from Mongolia participated in the festival, with Grandmaster A. Enkhtuul achieving first place in her category. Notably, Grandmaster Enkhtuul, a Senior Sergeant of the Internal Troops' 805th Unit and athlete for the "Max" Group, topped the podium in the women's category.
Grandmaster G. Munkhgal also impressed in the rapid category, claiming second place with six points. Meanwhile, Mongolia's youngest champion, International Master M. Amilal, showed his talent by achieving fourth place in the open category.
In addition, FIDE Master B.Amin-Erdene and young athlete E.Togstogoldor won gold in the U18 category.
