Mongolian memory athletes made history, securing 80 out of the 90 medals awarded at the Championships. Among the 32 Mongolian participants, they achieved an impressive haul of 11 trophies, 27 gold medals, 27 silver medals, and 26 bronze medals, dominating the competition and sweeping the stage at the 33rd World Memory Championships.
A standout performance came from young World Champion and Grandmaster Uurintsolmon Enkhjargal, who memorized 6,465 digits in just 30 minutes without a single error, setting a new world record. Her remarkable scores allowed her to surpass adult competitors, earning her the World Champion title once again. At just 17 years old, she became the youngest champion in the event with 33 years of history. Uurintsolmon is also the third Mongolian athlete to claim the World Champion title based on overall scores. Her impressive journey includes winning the Junior World Champion title in 2022, the Youth World Champion title in 2023, and the Champion title at the Memoriad World Mental Sports Olympics in 2024.
Another exceptional feat was achieved by Grandmaster O. Naranzul, who memorized 1,968 playing cards in 60 minutes without a single error, setting a new youth record. Additionally, B. Baasandorj became the first Mongolian athlete to win a silver medal at the World Speed Reading Championship.
Notably, E. Uurintsolmon, O. Naranzul, and Ts. Oyun-Erdene earned the prestigious Grandmaster title, the highest honor in memory sports.
