“The Seven Founding Members" Fund Established

Ulaanbaatar, February 5, 2025 /MONTSAME/. On February 2, 2025, “The Seven Founding Members" Fund was established under the Mongolian People’s Party (MPP) to commemorate the 132nd Anniversary of the Birth of Sukhbaatar Damdin, a prominent political and social figure, Founder of the People’s Government, Leader of the People’s Revolution, Minister of Defense, and Commander-in-Chief of the Army.


At the Opening Ceremony of the Fund, Chairman of the MPP and Prime Minister of Mongolia Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai, Secretary General of the MPP Sodbaatar Yangug, former Party Leaders Dash-Yondon Budragchaa and Enkhbayar Nambar, Board members of the MPP, Members of the State Great Khural (Parliament), administration of the Capital City, and relatives of Sukhbaatar Damdin attended.


Secretary-General of the MPP Sodbaatar noted, “The Seven Founding Members" Fund will be aimed at providing scholarships to 20 university students studying abroad and 80 domestically, with the goal of promoting values and ideas of national independence and civic education to the younger generations.”




Secretary of the MPP Kh. Altai provided further details on the seven key areas of operation of “The Seven Founding Members" Fund. 


On the same day, Chairman of the MPP and Prime Minister of Mongolia Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai,  Secretary General of the MPP Sodbaatar Yangug, representatives of the State Great Khural, administration of the Capital City, and relatives of Sukhbaatar Damdin paid their respects to the Statue of Sukhbaatar Damdin.




Sukhbaatar Damdin served his country as the Minister of the Ministry of Defense from 1921-1922, Member of the Army Council from 1921-1923, and Commander-in-Chief of the Army since 1921.
