The Asian Zone 3.3 Chess Championship to Be Held in Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar, April 1, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Mongolian Chess Federation, in collaboration with the Asian Chess Federation (ACF), is set to host the Asian Zone 3.3 Championship for the first time in Ulaanbaatar City, Mongolia.
Scheduled to begin on April 22, 2025, the Tournament will be open to female players with a rating above 1800 and male players with a rating above 2000. Participants will not only get the chance to test their skills against top players from the strong Zone 3.3 countries of Asia but also have the opportunity to boost their international ratings, earn title norms, and potentially secure a spot in the Chess World Cup.
Mongolia will select its top 20 male and top 20 female players to participate in the Championship. The selection will be made through an open qualifying tournament, which will be held at the Independence Palace of Mongolia on April 7-9, 2025. The top 20 players in each category will earn a place in the Zone 3.3 Championship.
As a side note, Singaporean Grandmaster Tin Jingyao, who holds a rating of 2600, has submitted his application to participate in the Asian Zone 3.3 Championships.
