Ulaanbaatar, April 17, 2025/MONTSAME/. Under the initiative of the Governor of the Capital City of Mongolia to host various events at Sukhbaatar Square throughout April and May 2025, exceptional circus performers from Mongolia have gathered to showcase their talents in a special performance.
Under the auspices of the Governor of the Capital City, the massive tent used during last week’s “Ulaanbaatar Food” Festival is now being repurposed to host the circus performances. This celebration marks World Circus Day and the 85th anniversary of the establishment of the Circus School of Mongolia.
The performances will feature 270 performers from over 12 troupes, including Grand Prix winners and medalists from renowned international competitions such as the Circus Festival Monte Carlo, the Wuhan International Acrobatic Art Festival, the Wuqiao International Circus Festival, and the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain. Circus shows will be held daily at 11:00 am, 03:00 pm, and 06:00 pm at Sukhbaatar Square from April 16 to April 22, 2025. In Mongolia, the circus known as the "Family Art" has long been admired and respected by the public.
Alongside the international circus troupes that performed at the "Steppe Arena" last week, Mongolian circus performers are presenting their one-of-a-kind routines at Sukhbaatar Square for the youth of Mongolia. After many long-awaited years, Mongolian youngsters will finally get to witness live performances of trained camel and equestrian displays, juggling routines by the Circus School of Mongolia, jump roping acts, and a special performance by the young contortionist group that won the "Golden Cup" in the “New Generation” category at the 47th International Circus Festival of Monte Carlo.
