Introducing Mongolian Chess Players Competing in the Asian Individual Chess Championships

Ulaanbaatar, May 6, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Asian Individual Chess Championships kicked off on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, in Al Ain, the United Arab Emirates.
The 10-day Championships brought together 262 players from 34 countries. Guided by the Mongolian National Team Coaches S. Bilguun and S. Gan-Od, the Mongolian Team includes the following players:
Women's Championship:
- Grandmaster B. Munguntuul
- Grandmaster T. Munkhzul
- Grandmaster U. Uuriintuya
- FIDE Candidate Master B. Mungunzul
- Grandmaster D. Nomin-Erdene (Asian Zonal 3.3 Championship Silver Medalist)
- FIDE Master E. Enkhrii
- FIDE Candidate Master E. Emujin
- FIDE Candidate Master B. Buyankhishig
- FIDE Candidate Master Ch. Nandinjiguur
- FIDE Candidate Master Kh. Bayasgalan
- Junior player Z. Naransolongo
- Junior player Z. Naranzaya
Men's Championship:
- International Master S. Gan-Erdene
- International Master G. Amartuvshin
- FIDE Master N. Sodbilegt

This year, the Championships have become more competitive with the participation of top players from the Republic of India, the People’s Republic of China, and the Russian Federation, which recently joined the Asian Chess Federation. A total of 228 internationally titled players, including 53 Grandmasters and 19 Women Grandmasters, have registered for the Asian Individual Chess Championships, a qualifying event for the Chess World Cup.
Mongolian players have previously won two medals at the Championships— T. Munkhzul earned a bronze in 2019, and B. Munguntuul claimed another bronze in 2023.
