Vaccination Coverage Against Influenza Reaches 92 Percent Nationwide

Ulaanbaatar, October 22, 2025 /MONTSAME/. In Ulaanbaatar, authorities plan to vaccinate over 136,000 residents against influenza and influenza-like illnesses. To date, 124,947 people have received the vaccine, achieving 92 percent of the target coverage.


According to the Governor's Office of the Capital City of Ulaanbaatar, as part of the “Wear Your Mask” campaign, public transport users and the public are being informed about vaccination through posters distributed by relevant authorities and district administrations. Currently, nine hospitals in the Capital city provide a total of 2,614 beds for general care and services, including 759 pediatric beds. Hospitals are currently using 59.2 percent of available beds and plan to make an additional 1,052 beds available. Examinations in the first half of 2025 increased by 9.7 percent compared to the same period last year. Of all examinations, outpatient visits accounted for 49.7 percent, preventive check-ups 28.8 percent, home-based active monitoring 13.2 percent, and dispensary follow-ups 8 percent. 


Authorities also plan to deliver medical services efficiently and without inconvenience to residents, while actively monitoring service quality.
